UWW is a free fun way to learn more about water quality and help protect lakes and streams in Utah. If you can make a small commitment to volunteer then you can make a BIG difference by collecting important water quality data! Volunteers collect data monthly from April to October on a site arranged by the program coordinator, watershed coordinator and volunteer. At the training, volunteers will learn about water quality, their local watershed and how to use simple tools to collect water quality data.

Join us to learn about advanced monitoring techniques used at the state level monitoring. Volunteers will have the opportunity to assist with upcoming monitoring needs including monitoring for the new Weber River restoration near the kayak launch.

This training is open to the public, but geared towards those with a background in monitoring or water quality (such as current UWW volunteers).

Join us to learn about watersheds and water quality monitoring. Help us collect data on a local waterbody!
Training is open to the public of all ages and levels. We will start by learning watershed basics, water quality and the need for monitoring. We will then go outdoors to learn fun, hands-on monitoring techniques at a nearby waterbody.
